EKITI PDP WOMEN GO SPIRITUAL FOR ATIKU, OTHER CANDIDATES TO EMERGE DURING ELECTIONS

…as SDP women agree to work with PDP during presidential election

To ensure peaceful conduct of this year’s elections and emergence of all its candidates, the women wing of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Ekiti State have held a prayer for divine intervention.

During the prayer held in Ado Ekiti, the State PDP women prayed for the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, vice presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa, senatorial candidates of the party in Ekiti South, Senator Biodun Olujimi, Central, Hon. Lateef Ajijola, North, Prince Funso Ayeni and others contesting for House of Representatives and Assembly in the state to emerge during the polls.

Leading the prayer, the women leader of Ekiti State PDP, Chief Folasade Akinrinmola explained that it became imperative to handover the elections and candidates of the Party unto God’s hands.

Chief Akinrinmola noted that the country needed Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to put an end to challenges facing the nation such as kidnapping, killings and unstable economy affecting the nation.

The Ekiti PDP women leader urged residents of the state to come out in their large numbers to vote for PDP Presidential candidate during the February 25th election.

She noted that Alhaji Abubakar had what it takes to bring unprecedented development back to the nation, hence the need for Nigerians to cast their votes him and other candidates of the party.

On her own, lawmaker representing Ekiti South in National Assembly, Senator Biodun Olujimi who commended the women for working toward the victory of Alhaji Atiku and other candidates of the PDP in Ekiti State lamented over the economy situation in the nation.

In his speech, the southwest Publicity Secretary of PDP, Chief Sanya Atofarati said the role of women in ensuring the victory of Alhaji Atiku can not be quantified, hence the need to carry them along before and during the election.

Also, youth leader of PDP in Ekiti State, Mr Tope Amerijoye told the women that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar would give priority to their welfare through empowerment programme and creation of jobs if elected, urging them to continue campaigning for him.

At the programme, women of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in Ekiti promised to join forces with PDP to ensure that Atiku wins the next month presidential election
