…urges him to equip health facilities, prioritize welfare of nurses
The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Mid-
wives, Ekiti State has rejoiced with the new Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and his Deputy, Mrs Monisade Afuye on their swearing-in ceremony.
This is contained in a statement by the NANNM acting Chairman, Patricia Akinola and the Secretary, Miss Olabisi Ayenioye.
Mrs Akinola and Miss Ayenioye prayed God to grant the Governor and those that would work with him the strenght, wisdom and understanding to transform the state into a pride of place.
The NANNM executives urged the new governor to provide better facilities in hospitals in the state and prioritize the wellbeing of Nurses and Mid-wives being a critical stakeholders in the provision of health care services.
According to them, the provision of better facilities in hospital acrosss the state will not only make health care services affordable but it will reduce the rate of bullying and victimization of Nurses at work place.
The Acting Chairman and the Secretary urged the Governor to strive hard to build and achieve more than his predecessor with a promise that the union would give him the needed support.
