EKITI NLC FELICITATES GOVERNOR OYEBANJI ON ONE YEAR IN OFFICE.

…commends his passion, commitment for workers

The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ekiti State has on behalf of workers both in the private and public sectors congratulate Governor Bioduun Oyebanji on his first anniversary in office.

Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti, NLC Chairman, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde appreciated God on behalf of the Governor for the grace and opportunity to spend the first year successfully with numerous achievements.

The Ekiti NLC Chairman commended the commitment of Governor Oyebanji to the welfare of workers, pensioners and residents of the state, saying he had touched every sector in the state in the last one year.

According to Comrade Kolapo , Governor Oyebanji had displayed true Omoluabi by paying salary arrears, leave bonuses, approval of minimum wage for workers above grade level 13 upward, payment of backlog of gratuity, payment of Hazzard allowance to heath workers among others.

The NLC Chairman applauded the Governor’s initiative to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal on Ekiti workers and students through provision of free buses to convey them to and fro to their offices and schools..

He said:”Ekiti workers are so greatful to the Governor due to his love and commitment to thier needs, keep up the good work our worker friendly Governor”

Comrade Kolapo also felicitated with the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, saying she had been supporting the Governor to achieve success in the last one yaer.

He appealed to Governor Biodun Oyebaji to ensure that all the needs of workers and that of subvented institutions are met especially in the area of implementation of wage award in line with the agreement of government with workers.
