EKITI MONARCH BAGS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

The National Leadership Summit of the Nigerian Baptist Convention on Monday presented an award to the Onigede-Ekiti, of Igede-Ekiti, Oba James Aladesuru II as the Longest Serving Monarch in Nigeria.

The President of the body, Rev. Dr. Israel Akanji presented the award to the monarch, during a colourful ceremony in Iwo, Osun State.

The group could not hold back its decision to honour the Ekiti monarch in recognition of his dedicated service to God through humanity.

Accepting the award, Oba Aladesuru commended the group for recognising his meritorious service to humanity and mankind and finding him worthy for such a befitting award.

He said that he would continue to ensure that his Kingdom enjoy enduring peace and take further steps that will usher and sustain peaceful coexistence in the community and beyond.

He dedicated the award to members of his community for trusting his ability to lead them as their monarch while pledging to continue to serve them with all honour and humility.
