Ekiti Medical and Health Workers Will Soon Enjoy CONHESS Salary Structure

..as Ekiti Governor-Elect Promises  Establishment of 2 New Ministries

Meets members of Medical and Health Workers’ Union

The Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Hon. Biodun Abayomi Oyebabji has confirmed that his administration will resolve the various irregularities in the payment of CONHESS salary structure to health workers in the state.

He promised to create a platform where the leadership of the health workers and government would brainstorm and reach a concrete resolution on how to address the matter.

The Governor-elect spoke during an interactive session with members of the Medical and Health Workers’ Union, Ekiti State Council in Ado Ekiti.

The meeting with the health workers was in continuation of the thank you tour embarked upon by the Governor-elect to appreciate the workers for their support during the election.

Oyebanji urged the health workers to support him with prayers particularly in the setting up of his cabinet so that he would be able to appoint the right people to work with him with the fear of God.

The Governor-elect promised to create the ministry of labour and seperate ministry for pensioners as part of efforts to give them better sense of belonging.

Hon. Oyebanji affirmed that the two ministries would also be headed by commissioners who would be personally nominated by the NLC leadership and Nigeria Union of Pensioners.

Earlier,  the chairman Medical and Health Workers Union, Comrade Femj Ajoloko thanked the Governor-elect for the visit describing him as a promise keeper.

He said the health workers decided to back him because they saw in him virtues that are needed to make Ekiti better.

Comrade Ajoloko requested the Governor-elect to give better attention to welfare of health workers.
