EKITI GOVERNMENT PROMISES MORE PROGRAMMES TO CUSHION EFFECT OF SUBSIDY REMOVAL

…as SSG meet party members in Ado Ekiti

Ekiti State Government says it will continue to embark on programmes that will ameliorate the suffering of residents to cushion the effect of subsidy removal.

The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaja Habibat Adubiaro stated this while addressing members of APC at ward eleven, Ado Ekiti.

While presenting money to some indigents and aged APC members at the meeting, Alhaja Adubiaro explained that many people have been empowered through her office and that of the wife of the Governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji in different areas.

According to her, grinding machines, tailoring machines and employment letters have been given to some youth and wommen to ameliorate their suffering.

Also, the executive Chairman, Ado west local Government, Mr Taiye Alagba who commended the efforts of governor Oyebanji to ensure that every citizens enjoy good governance presented the acting chairman of the party to members, saying the former one had been suspended due to his high-handedness and lack of respect for leaders of the party.

On his part, the new acting Chairman, Femi Oguntoyinbo promised to serve the members with loyalty and not to go against the constituted authority, saying everyone member would be treated equal

The ward meeting also had the unveiling of two members of the ward who are contesting for Counsellorship position Omobola Ajayi and Daramola Tolulope in the forthcoming Local Government Election.
