Ekiti Assembly Confirms New Executive Secretary, Deputy Clerk

Ekiti State House of Assembly during it’s plenary on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Mr Francis Tolulope Afolabi as the Executive Secretary of the Assembly Commission.

The newly appointed Secretary was the former Director of Information Services of the House

The Assembly also confirmed the appointment of Mrs Titilope Agbede as Deputy Clerk, Legislative Service.

The approval followed the motion moved by the Leader of Business, Hon. Johnson Oyekola Bode-Adeoye and seconded by the Chief Whip, Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, stating the need to fill the vacant positions.

In their contributions, the lawmakers unanimously supported the motion for the confirmation on the basis of the nominees capacity, experience, and the ability to deliver, having worked with them for over three years.

In her address, the Speaker, Rt.Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba charged the newly appointees to ensure they deliver on the mandate given to them.

Also at the plenary, three bills that included Ekiti State Local Government Staff Loans Board Bill, 2023; Ekiti State Wealth Fund Bill, 2023 and the Ekiti State Fire Service Bill, 2023 all passed through the first reading.
