…arrest 2 for stealing fuel in Ekiti Cargo Airport

The Ekiti State Agro Marshals have paraded one Azeez Isiyaka, suspected to have connived with his younger brother to allegedly gang-rape a 15-year-old girl in Iyin-Ekiti, Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti, the Commander, Ekiti Agro Marshal, Mr. Olamide Oni said Isiyaka who is a commercial motorcyclist also specializes in trading Indian hemp.

One bag of India hemp and materials used in packaging it was found in his room.

According to the Commander, the younger brother escaped but the officers are on his trail.

Mr. Oni, a retired State Commissioner of Police, noted that the victim is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

In a interview, the suspect claimed that it was his brother that raped the teenager.

Similarly, two persons, were arrested by the Agro Marshalls for stealing diesel at the Ekiti State Cargo Airport, Ijan Road, Ado Ekiti.

According to the Commander, the arrest followed a tip-off from Olayemi, who reported that his diesel was stolen at gunpoint by a hunter.

In response to the report, the Agro Marshalls men tracked the suspect, Zuberu Yahaya who later disclosed that the complainant Olalekan Olayemi, 38 years, also stole the fuel from the Airport.

While the suspects admitted to the crimes, the Commander noted that the cases will be handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution, thereby assuring the public of their safety if they provide information to the Marshalls.

Item recovered from the suspects are one local gun, 7kegs of Diesel and a motorcycle.
