Eid-el-Kabir: Sen. Raji Rasaki Greets Muslims

… calls for more prayers, support for Tinubu’s administration

Former First Lady of Lagos State, Senator Olufunke Raji Rasaki has sent a message of felicitation to Muslim faithful in Nigeria as they join the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, with a call for continued support for President Tinubu administration.

Senator Raji-Rasaki in a goodwill message tasked those opportune to fulfil this year holy pilgrimage which is one out of five of the pillars of Islam as ordained by Allah (SWT), to pray fervently that our nation will triumph this trying times.

She lamented the economy and security challenges facing the country at the moment and called for collective action of all citizens to get the nation out of the pitfalls.

According to Senator Raji-Rasaki: ” the prevailing situation does not call for blame game but a collective action of all citizens. We should have confidence in this present administration of Bola Tinubu and our security operatives and encourage them to do more.

“Mr. President has taken bold steps since inception and I am confident that these steps are geared towards containing all the obstacles confronting us. These are challenges we must unite to tackle.

“The removal of Subsidy, just concluded Global Financing Summit held in France and attended by President Tinubu, restructuring of the MDAs, reappointment of new service chiefs and IGP and many others are steps in right direction. The benefits in these steps will positively be felt by all and sundry in no distant time. One way out of this quagmire is to have a common approach against our challenges irrespective of political , ethnic or religious affiliation. What is paramount now is our collective survival as a people and nation. This is our fatherland. We have a collective responsibility to protect our common destiny”, Sen. Raji Rasaki urged.

She further Muslims in the country to be more fervent in prayers for the peace and continued cooperate existence of Nigeria hoping that the challenges especially insecurity would be surmounted.
