The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, said they are collaborating with the Nigerian Internet Registration Association, NIRA, towards building the capacity of its personnel to effectively combat the emerging trends in cyber security.
The EFCC published on its Twitter handle, @OfficialEFCC, sayinh that the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa reiterated the Commissions commitment towards capacity building of its personnel.
The Chairman stated this during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, between EFCC and NIRA, led by its President, Muhammed Rudman, at the EFCC Head Office, Jabi, Abuja.
Bawa said that, the MoU would help boost the understanding of his personnel on the modern trends in cyberspace and assist the Commission’s investigations.
Similarly, the President, NIRA, Muhammed Rudman said that the purpose of the MoU was to strengthen collaboration between the two parties, adding that, there was a huge gap between NIRA and law enforcement agencies, which needed to be bridged.
