At the programme held in Ado Ekiti, the girls numbering about sixty were sub-divided into groups where they shared ideals and various issues affecting them.

Speaking with Roundoffnews, the Executive Director, Environmental Development and Family Health Organization EDFHO Sir,  Olu Ogunrotimi said the initiative is being supported by Action Aid- Nigeria.

According to him, the programme is to identify the various challenges facing the girl-child in Ekiti State and the resolutions would be presented at the larger summit in Abuja.

Sir Ogunrotimi noted that the resolutions would assist government and appropriate authorities to have credible access to data that could be used for planning a better life for the girls in the country.

He noted that though the consent of the girls were sought, their data and information would not be made public to avoid stigmatization.
