ECOWAS will not invade Niger, Buhari’s Aide tells France

Following France claim to militarily support the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) to invade Niger, the Digital Communication Aide to Former President Mohammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad has lashed France, saying that the Regional body will not invade Niger.

Roundoffnews recall, French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday that France is ready to support any efforts, including military intervention, made by the regional body (ECOWAS) to restore constitutional order in Niger, Russian News Agency, TASS reports.

In response, the Aide to the former President said on his X handle @Bashir Ahmaad that a diplomatic approach will be sustained against Military force.

He said, “France should calm down; ECOWAS is not going to invade Niger. The diplomatic approach is working. Dialogue always prevails.”
