DSS Debunks News of Alleged Clash With EFCC

By Akubulu Ngozi

The Department of State Services, DSS has debunked the alleged clash with the Economics and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC.

DSS made this known today via its Official Twitter Account @OfficialDSSNG.

This is coming after the media reported the alleged restrictions of EFCC by DSS from entering its office in Lagos.

Reacting to this, DSS maintained that, “There is no rivalry between the Service and the EFCC over and about anything. Please do not create any imaginary one, they are great partners working for the good of the nation, dismiss any falsehood of a fight.

It is not correct that the DSS barricaded EFCC from entering its office, no It is not true. The Service is only occupying its own facility where it is carrying out its official and statutory responsibility.”

However, the International Peace Commission, IPC via its Official Twitter Account @ipcjustice stated that, “DSS’s actions were unnecessary and unprofessional. The use of a tank in front of the EFCC’s building was a clear show of force, and it is not clear what the DSS hoped to achieve by doing so.”
