Dino Melaye Rejects Ekiti Results

A former chairman of the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, Dino Melaye, on Monday, rejected the presidential election result declared for Ekiti State.

Melaye, who is also an agent of the Peoples Democratic Party, raised an observation that the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission for Ekiti State do not correlate and called for the results presented at the polling units to be displayed on the INEC website for comparison with the results presented by the State’s Collation Officers.

INEC had declared the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, winner of Ekiti State with 201,494 defeating Abubakar Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 89, 554.

He caused a stir at the centre saying, “ The electoral right says that what is uploaded is what should be there. You can bundle me out but the right thing must be done. I am a party agent. I am not being disruptive. I am asking that what is uploaded is what is going to be there, we are saying that let him declare that what is uploaded is what will be there. at least let him make that statement.
