DAYLIGHT BURGLARY FOILED: EKITI POLICE ARREST FOUR

The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested four individuals in connection with burglary and stealing, as well as receiving stolen properties.

This was made known recently in a press statement issued by DSP Abutu Sunday, ANIPR Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Ekit State.

According to him, on April 25, 2024, at approximately 08:00hrs, Olasoji Kehinde and Olasoji Taiwo were apprehended while attempting to break into a shop on Mathew Street, Odo-Ado, Ado-Ekiti.

During questioning, the suspects confessed to the crime and revealed that they were responsible for burglarizing three shops in Fayemi Market at Agric Olope, Ado-Ekiti.

As contained in the release the stolen items included two bags of rice, two bags of beans, and other valuables totaling ₦936,750:00.

“Further investigation by the Command Rapid Response Squad (RRS) led to the arrest of one Afolayan Funke ‘f’ and Nnaji Benignus Aroh ‘m’ who the suspects claimed have been receiving stolen properties from them.” The statement added.

The suspects will be arraigned in court accordingly.
