Cross River Governor Bans Okada Activities

Cross River Governor Bassey Otu has banned motorcycle activities in the state capital.

According to Otu those who wants to use motorcycles for commercial purpose should limit their activities to remote areas

In a statement by his press secretary, Emmanuel Ogbeche, the governor said the decision was made in consultation with the state security.

“A total ban on the activities of all commercial motorcyclists within the Calabar metropolis.

“Those willing to use their motorcycles to earn a decent living are restricted only to remote areas away from the city center.

“Anyone caught going against this directive will have the motorcycle impounded and the offender prosecuted,” the statement reads partly.
