Commuters Strand at Bus Stops as Fuel Scarcity Bites Harder in Ekiti

A large number of civil servants, traders and other commuters are stranded at various junctions of Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital due to lack of commercial vehicles and motorcycles to convey them to their respective destinations.

The development is as a result of the fuel scarcity which has continued to bite harder everyday.

As at the time of this report, barely five petrol stations were dispensing fuel in the whole of Ado Ekiti at #274 per litre a situation that has left many residents with worries and concerns.

Speaking with Roundoffnews, some of the commuters condemned the inability of government to resolve issues surrounding the fuel scarcity since November last year.

They also expressed disappointment over the taskforce put in place by the state government, saying the committee has not done well.

According to them, the fuel scarcity has complicated the current economic situation thus making life difficult for citizens.
