Community Apprehends Killers of NSCDC Officer in Ekiti

Four out of the seven man gang  who killed an officer of the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps have been arrested.

The chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State, Mr Micheal Ogungbemi, who confirmed this to  newsmen in Ado Ekiti, on Tuesday explained that the supsects were arrested by  Local Security Network codenamed Operation Eradicate Bandits at the Borders of Rural of  Ajoni Communities.

The council boss  said the local security operatives arrested the culprits while patrolling the border area between Ekiti and Kwara.

He said the suspects have  confessed to have involved in  killing of the NSCDC operative and kidnapping of his family members.

Mr ogungbemi said that   two AK47 were part of items recovered from the suspects, saying they were  presently being detained  at the police station in Ikole Ekit.
