COMMISSIONER TASKS EKITI COUNCIL WORKERS TO PROMOTE GOVERNOR OYEBANJI’S DEVELOPMENT AGENDA

Local Government workers in Ekiti State have been charged to work assiduously towards actualizing the Six Developmental-Pillars of the
present administration in the State.

The Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon Folorunso Olabode
gave the charge during his familiarization tour of some Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas in Ekiti North Senatorial District.

Hon.Olabode who stressed the commitment of Government to make local councils function effectively affirmed that government’s presence was now being felt at the grassroots more than ever before because the
Local councils in the State were now more productive.

While noting that the creation of LCDAs in the State had enhanced rapid development at the grassroots level , the Commissioner stated that many abandoned farmsteads across the State had come back to live as more people were now engaged in farming and other legitimate enterprises in the rural areas across the state.

The Local Government Affairs Commissioner admonished Council workers and other stakeholders to conduct themselves peacefully during the today’s Local Council Polls and also be security conscious at all times.

In his remark at Ido Ekiti, the Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government, Hon Sola Ogunsina lauded Governor Oyebanji for his efforts to boost human capital development and grass root development in the State.

He advised council staff to be more alive to their responsibilities to justify the confidence reposed in them.
