Celebrate Moderately, Pray for Nigeria, Ekiti NUT Chair Charges Muslim Teachers Ahead of Eld-el-kabir

…extends greetings to SSG, president league of Imams, others

…restates commitment to teachers’ welfare

The Nigeria Union of Teachers, Ekiti State wing, has congratulated Muslims faithful particularly teachers for the grace of Allah that sustained their lives to witness this year’s Eld-el-kabir urging them to celebrate modestly and not be discouraged by the hike in prices of commodities.

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, the NUT chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Oke on behalf of the  State Wing Executive Council of NUT Ekiti State said the most important thing is the gift of life adding that the teachers should pray for better Nigeria.

Oke equally rejoiced with the President League of Imams and Alfas in South West, Edo and Delta inclusive, Alhaji Jamiu Kewulere, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro and every other Muslim brothers and sisters in the cabinet of Governor Oyebanji.

The NUT Chairman prayed Allah to grant them the blessings of the season and preserve their lives to celebrate many Eld-el-kabir on earth in good health and abundance.

He urged the adherent of Islam to continue to operate and work in accordance with the tenets of Islam which include peace with one another, love, humility gratitude and tolerance.

Comrade Oke who is also the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ekiti State promised the readiness of his leadership to continue to partner government and relevant agencies in the interest of getting better benefits for teachers and workers at large.
