CAN Kaduna Reacts to El-Rufai Fanatic video

…says its deliberate plot to instigate division

Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has reacted to the trending video of the former Governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai, saying it was a deliberate attempt to instil division amongst the religious sects.

The was made known by the Chairman of CAN in Kaduna, Rev.John Joseph Hayab during an interactive session in Arise News today.

Recall that El-Rufai was reportedly seen in a video where he allegedly said that Islamic dominance in Kaduna has been successfully replicated in Nigeria and that it shall continue, adding the the Muslim /Muslim tickets at the national and at the state level was to propagate Islamic dominance.

Reacting to this, Rev.John revealed that the Association in a meeting with the Nigeria Inter-religious Council, NIREC understood that the statement was calculated to divide them which according to him cannot be possible.

He said, “NIREC is doing a good job, we had a meeting yesterday and I told them I am not interested in listening to the video because I don’t even want to make the man popularly anymore as his tenure is over and we need focus on our friendship and relationship with our Muslims Community.

“During our meeting yesterday we talked about this and we understood that it was a deliberate plot to divide us and we cannot be divided.”
