Board of Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency, MEDA Strengthen ties with Microfinance Banks

……Meets Managers of Microfinance Banks in Ado Ekiti

The Board of Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency, MEDA has called for improved partnership with the microfinance institutions across the state with the aim of boosting small and medium scale business for economy growth.

This was the outcome of a meeting held in Ado Ekiti by MEDA with all managers of the various microfinance banks in Ekiti State.

Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, the Chairman, Ekiti State Board of Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency, MEDA, Akogun Abayomi Lustay affirmed that microfinance plays a vital role in promoting financial inclusion, economic growth, and poverty reduction at the grassroots level.

He explained that the meeting was fruitful as both the Board members and the managers brainstormed on initiatives and ideas that could assist government to achieve it’s shared prosperity agenda.

Akogun Lustay explained that the Board is determined to work with every relevant agencies and institutions towards ensuring improved access to capital, loans and other benefits that could enhance business activities in the state by entrepreneurs.

He appreciated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the support given to the Board adding that efforts were on top gear to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Responding, the managers who spoke at the meeting promised their readiness to work with MEDA towards achieving it’s aiming of boosting economic activities of the state.
