Be Optimistic…Bishop Ajakaye Challenges Nigerians

Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Ekiti, the Most Reverend Felix Ajakaye has advised Nigerians to be optimistic and develop positive mindsets towards the country Nigeria.

Bishop Ajakaye who spoke while receiving the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, led by Comrade Kayode Babatuyi said Nigerians must love and cherish their Nation irrespective of any situation.

He appealed to journalists to also use their platforms to promote positive developments of the country and uphold the ethics of the profession without compromise.

The Bishop who is also a veteran journalist described journalism as a noble profession critical to the development of any nation, hence the need for improved welfare packages for journalists.

Earlier, the Chairman, NUJ, Ekiti State Council, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi acknowledged the positive contributions of the Bishop to NUJ and individual journalists.

He sought his continued support for the union especially in the area of it’s press centre.
