Ban Okada in Ekiti Now…Residents Urge Governor Oyebanji

In view of the recent killings in Ekiti State, a cross section of residents have asked Governor Biodun Oyebanji to ban the use of commercial motorcycles popularly known as Okada from the major roads of Ado Ekiti.

Those who spoke with Roundoffnews at different occasions and on social media, advised that the operations of the commercial motorcyclists should be restricted to only streets.

The respondents were reacting to the incessant broad daylight killings which all involved the use of motorcycles.

According to them, if the operations of motorcyclists are restricted to streets, it will be difficult for the criminals to operate freely and go away with it.

They noted that the proposed law should also to extended to private motorcycles as done in some places.

The respondents urged government to encourage use of tricycle and potable vehicles.
