Some athletes participating in the ongoing National Sport Festival holding at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, Delta State have showered encomium on the contractor that handled the construction work of the stadium.
Speaking with journalists separately, the athletes expressed satisfaction with the standard of facilities and the pattern of construction.
According to them, the facility in the stadium would compete with anyone in the world.
They equally commended Government for employing the best hand to handle the construction urging other states to emulate such.
Conducting the host Governor , Senator Ifeanyi Okowa round the facility, the Managing Director of company that handled the stadium, Peculiar Ultimate Concern, Engineer Lanre Adeleke, affirmed that the stadium would stand the test of time.
Engineer Adeleke maintained that the stadium work was handled conscienciously to further prove that indigenous contractors had capacity to deliver on world standard project, using best global standard practices.
He commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his vision of putting together such internationally reputable infrastructure which would not just serve Delta State, but the entire country.
