One of the aspirants for the seat of the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency two, Hon. Dele Philips has appealed to his followers from across the Constituency who are aggrieved over the disruption of the last week primary election of the area to remain calm and begin to work towards the victory of the APC governorship candidate, Hon. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji BAO.
The APC primary election for the constituency was disrupted last week, a situation that enraged the followers of Dele Philips who described the incident as an act of injustice on him.
Many had even speculated that Dele Philips would moved to another political party but reverse was the case as the aspirant brought together all his followers, pacified them and instructed them to return to their wards and communities and start working for the victory of BAO.
According to him, the party leaders are attending to the controversy of the primary election saying at the moment their is no winner no loser.
He said what ever the decision of the party leaders on the matter, he is ready to abide by it, saying the party is bigger than any member no matter how highly placed.
Philips appreciated the people for their love and support but affirmed that all efforts put in place over his ambition would amount to a waste if BAO lost the election moreso that he is from the constituency.
He said he was not desperate for any post but believed that justice should be served in every matter.
