APC Campaign Group Offers Free Health Services to 8,000 Residents of Osun

Over 8,000 people across 9 communities in Osun State, have benefited from a six day medical outreach put together by the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Directorate of Grassroots Mobilisation; Engagement and Orientation.

The exercise which was carried out in partnership with a Non Governmental Organization, Development Support International (DSI) featured over 50 health care professionals providing medical screening and treatments to vulnerable persons.

Speaking with newsmen, the Head of Logistics for Development Support International (DSI), Temitope Adewole (ATM) said the outreach which extended to communities like Iwo, Ede, Ijebujesha, Ikirun, Ikire, Ipetu, Ife, Ila, and the stae capital, Osogbo was put together to support citizens who could not afford basic health care.

Temitope Adewale explained that the outreach was a very successful one adding that out of the 8,000 individuals who benefitted from the health mission, about 70% were Women, 20% men and 10% children.

Eye care accounted for 60% of the medical cases encountered while cases like high blood pressure, Malaria, amongst others made up the 40%.

Mr. Adewole said the DSI was impressed by the responses from the 9 communities even as at when the opposition party is still in power.

“This shows the people are still in love with the APC government and will make sure they put them back in government come sat feb. 25 2023.

“The group introduced the free medical mission to Osun residents to target citizens that cannot afford basic health care and to continue what the government of Oyetola started, and to reechoe one of the plans of the Tinubu/shetimma project

The 6days mission which ended Monday, 20 feb 2023 featured free eye test, blood pressure test, diabetics,malaria as well as free distribution of medications and glasses.
