…calls for correction
A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti State, Hon (Mrs) Ebiesuwa Cecilia has also faulted the composition of the State Party Caretaker Committee members list.
In a statement from her country home, Emure-Ekiti, Hon Ebiesuwa said that the inclusion of two women out of about nineteen-member committee was unfair and did not represent the relevance and commitment which some women have been putting into politics especially the PDP to ensure its sustenance in Ekiti State.
The PDP leader appealed to the leadership of the party at all levels to address the low representation of women in the committee in order to achieve the desired results which are the common goals of members.
Hon Ebiesuwa described the composition of the PDP Caretaker Committee in Ekiti State as a slap on the womenfolk, calling for necessary correction.
She noted that the decision of the leadership of the party was uncalled for and has relegated the position and contributions of women to the development of the party.
