ANNUAL PRAYER: EWI OF ADO-EKITI CAUTIONS POLITICIANS AGAINST KILLINGS, BURNING OF HOUSES

…sues for issue-based campaign during 2026 Ekiti guber

The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe has advised sons and daughters of Ado-Ekiti to maintain peaceful co-existence in this new year and shun any act of indiscipline.

He stated this during the annual prayer for 2025, which held at the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti Palace.

The monarch expressed optimism that the country will turn around for good in 2025 in the economic sector.

He seized the opportunity to call on all followers of political parties in the State to engage in issue-based campaign and shun any form of involvement in killings and burning of houses as the governorship campaign draws closer.

Earlier, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ado-Ekiti Local Government, Reverend Father Thomas Adebisi urged Yoruba youths to desist from get rich quick syndrome attitude.

The cleric appealed to parents to caution their children from involving in unwholesome behaviours such as, thuggery and fraudulent activities.

In their remarks, Chairmen of Ado-Ekiti Local Government, Chief Bosun Osaloni and that of the Ado-Ekiti Central, Mr Toyin Ojo, who spoke on behalf of others appreciated residents of the council areas for their support so far for Governor Biodun Oyebanji and promised that the governor would not relent in his developmental projects across the State.

They told the gathering that the ongoing road construction in Igiririgiri and over head bridge in Ado-Ekiti would soon be completed to reduce traffic jam and enhance free vehicular movement.
