Amotekun Parades five men over fraud

The Western Nigeria Security Network code named Amotekun, Ekiti State has paraded five suspected fraudsters for duping a resident of Ogun state, Mr Udani James over two point five million naira.

Addressing newsmen in Ado Ekiti, Commander of Ekiti State Amotekun corps, Retired Colonel Joel komolafe said the suspects were arrested in Ikere Ekiti, after a tip off from officers of Ogun State Amotekun.

Narrating his ordeal, the victim, Mr Udani James explained that one of the fraudsters called him and told him to send some money to him in order to engage in traditional prayers for him.

He since then, he had been sending money to him up to the tune of over two point five millions naira before he declined to respond to their calls.

He said they later threatened that if he refused to send more money that he would die, hence he reported the mater to Amotekun officials in Ogun State which led to their arrest.
