Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, candidate for Ekiti South Senatorial District, Hon. Tope Abayomi, has pledged to prioritize the welfare of his constituents if elected.
He said this during a meeting with local government executives of the party at his country home in Ikere-Ekiti, on Monday, ahead of his campaign flag off which kick starts next week.
Meanwhile, Chairman of ZLP in Ekiti state, Mallam Jimoh Saheed urged the local government executives to work very hard to enable ZLP produce the next senator from the zone.
He described the party’s candidate as a loyal and committed party member who has contributed immensely to the development of the party.
“Having Tope Abayomi as our Senator from the south Senatorial district will be a blessing like never before.”
Speaking on behalf of other LGA executives, Lola Oluwole, Ise/Orun LGA Chairman thanked the senatorial candidate for the meeting and promised that his people will be fully mobilized to welcome him during the campaign tour of their respective local government adding that he will ensure total victory for the party in the February 25 election.
