2023 Elections: IG Meets with Police Management Team to Evaluate Performance

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, CFR, has met with Police Management team at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Abuja, to evaluate the Force performance during the 2023 General elections.

This was made known today in a press statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

The statement has that, the Management Team for the evaluation include: Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), Commissioners of Police (CPs) and other Tactical Commanders to highlight weakness and strengths of Police performance during the election.

Also, the Inspector-General of Police, charged the Police Management team to readjust strategies and operations towards ensuring a stable post-election security order and refocus policing attention on routine law enforcement duties.

According to the statement the IG assured of effective collaboration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to prosecute the 781 electoral offenders apprehended across the nation.
