Members of the Asewusi Timber Traders Association, Atta Ado, Ado-Ekiti, have endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term ahead of the June 20 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State.
The association declared its support during a political rally at the Atta Ado axis, where leaders and members said they were satisfied with the governor’s leadership and development initiatives across the state.
Speaking with journalists, Chairman of the association, Phillips Oluwaseun Kehinde, said members assessed the administration’s performance and concluded that Oyebanji deserved another term to consolidate his achievements.
Kehinde cited the governor’s commitment to infrastructural development, support for local businesses, and inclusive governance as key reasons for the endorsement, noting that traders and artisans had benefited directly.
He added that the association, which operates within the Atta Ado timber market, would mobilise families, associates, and business partners to deliver overwhelming votes for the governor from the area.
Deputy Chairman, Folasade Okanlawon, also reaffirmed the group’s support, describing the Oyebanji administration as responsive to the needs of market traders and small-scale business owners.
Okanlawon said continuity would allow ongoing developmental projects to be completed and expanded, urging residents to sustain support for the government’s welfare and economic growth agenda.
Other members who spoke pledged loyalty and political support to the governor, assuring that the association would deliver thousands of votes from its members and networks in the forthcoming election.
