A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Bimbo Daramola has said that the best way for Ekiti women to reciprocate the gestures of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is to mobilize themselves and vote massively for him during the forthcoming election.
Daramola who spoke with newsmen over the weekend congratulated the women for witnessing this year’s International Women’s Day.
While acknowledging the resilience, sacrifices and contributions of women to national development, Daramola affirmed that Governor Oyebanji has done very much well for women and the girl child since the inception of office.
According to him, the government of Oyebanji and the office of the first lady have jointly extended the dividends of good governance to women through, empowerment programmes, bursary and scholarships, skil acquisition programmes, protection against violence and discrimination, improved access to education and political participation.
Daramola who served as member House of representatives, noted that Governor Oyebanji appointed more women into politics and key positions than successive governments in the state.
He noted that the return of Oyebanji to the office for a second term as Governor would be a blessing to the women folk and a continuity of women centred government.
The former lawmaker urged the women to begin to preach the gospel of Oyebanji to everyone around them and make sure they prevail on their children and husbands not to allow themselves to be used as agents of destruction.
