EKITI NLC HOLDS PRAYER SESSION TO USHER IN NEW YEAR

...as Chairman Comrade Kolapo Olatunde commends Governor Oyebanji disposition to workers’ welfare

It was a moment of praise and worship as members of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Ekiti State converged on the Union secretariat located at Egbewa, Ado Ekiti to appreciate God and thank Him for his love over them, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji and the state at large.

The event was marked by praise, worship, dancing, and prayers as members thanked God for His love and protection over them, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and the state.

In his sermon during the prayer, pastor Femi Olanipekun called for unity among members of the union, saying they will more in unity than in division.

Pastor Olanipekun stressed the need for them to cooperate with the leadership of the union and support their move and vision to protect their interest and priotize their welfare.

The Cleric urged members of the Union to be focused and dedicated them to be successful in the year 2026 and prayed God to grant them grace to do exploit.

In his speech, the Special Adviser to Governor, Mr Kayode Fatomiluyi thanked Ekiti workers for their support so far for the present administration led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji, saying that should not relent in such direction.

Mr Fatomiluyi sought for their support during the forthcoming Governorship election in order for the governor to remain on the exalted position till 2030

In a remark, the Chairman of NLC, Ekiti State, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde explained that the prayer was organised to appreciate God onbalf of the workers in Ekiti State.

He commended the government over prompt payment of salary, employment opportunity, payment of outstanding arrears of workers as well as payment of pension and gratituities.

Comrade Olatunde also lauded the Governor for increasing subvention of EKSUTH, EKSU, BOUESTI among other achievements, saying the he had also connected the state to global community through construction of International Cargo Airport in Ado Ekiti.

He therefore promised that Ekiti workers would support his future ambition, saying workers were proud of his leadership style and his contributions to development of Ekiti State in area of Infrastructural development.
