The leadership of the All Progressives Congress Youth League, APCYL, has sought for peace and unity among its party members towards reclaiming the governorship seat in Oyo State.
They stated this during a courtesy visit to the State Party Chairman, Alh. Moshood Olaide Abass ahead of the State inauguration.
Speaking on behalf of the league, the State Coordinator, Engr. Dagilogba Ayobami, congratulated the chairman on his confirmation as the authentic State Chairman and appreciated the progress made so far.
He thanked God for the lives of the State Executives, elected and appointed political office holders, who have been leading the party and the masses.
Dagilogba praised the party leadership for their cooperation with the League and gave special commendation to the State Youth Leader, Hon. John Aremu, for his efficient leadership and positive impacts on the league.
He highlighted the league’s recent proposal to inaugurate State Executives under the kind permission of the State Executives, as has been done in neighboring states.
The Coordinator requested support, moral guidance, and partisan advice on the planned event while emphasizing the importance of unity and cooperation among party members, particularly the youth, in achieving the party’s objectives.
In response, the State Youth Leader, Hon. John Aremu, welcomed the leadership of the APCYL and stressed the importance of working with the State Party chairman.
He advised the team to take advantage of the opportunity to make a positive impact on the youth embodiment at the grassroots level, ensuring victory in future elections.
Alh. Abass commended the group for their efforts and encouraged them to prioritize party growth over factional interests and emphasized that the party belongs to the youth and that the pride of the party lies in the constituted youth congregation like the APCYL.
The Chairman shared his Unification, Transparency, and Get-Agodi-back agenda, stating that the national party is interested in this agenda.
He assured the league that he would foster a stronger bond between his office and the league to make the Unification and Get-Agodi-back agenda a reality.
Furthermore, Alh. Abass reiterated his commitment to supporting the youth wing of the party, recognizing their vital role in the party’s success.
He encouraged the league to continue their good work and promised to provide the necessary guidance and support.
The State Secretary, Hon. Tajudeen Olanite, noted the attendees and assured the league of the state executives’ readiness to intervene when needed.
