Yuletide: OUTGOING EKITI CP PROMISES SAFE ATMOSPHERE

….honours 47 outstanding officers during end of year party

The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police who has just been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Akinwale Adeniran has affirmed that adequate security arrangements has been made to ensure that people of the state celebrate the festivities in a peaceful and secured atmosphere.

AIG Adeniran spoke during the end of the year party of the command which also serves as an avenue for his sent forth having been promoted to AIG.

According to the AIG, there is every possibility that the state will not record and crime during and after the yuletide because of the aggressive surveillance and intelligence patrol that has been put in place.

He appreciated people of the state for their support and cooperation which he said assisted the command to overcome the security challenges he met when he was newly posted to Ekiti.

In their separate remarks, stakeholders at the event including, traditional rulers, clerics leadership of NUJ, representative of youths, transporters among others attested to the leadership style of AIG Adeniran and his passion for effective policing.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of commendation letter to 47 outstanding officers who did well in the outgoing year.

The gathering wine and dine and were entertained by the police band.
