… As Ekiti Celebrates Women’s Day
As Ekiti State celebrates Women’s Day, the wife of the Governor of Ekiti State, Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji, has been described as a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration following her outstanding contributions to the empowerment and well-being of women in the state.
The Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission Chairman, Chief Samuel Alaba Abejide, in a statement in Ado-Ekiti, said Dr. Oyebanji was a source of motivation for women in Ekiti State, championing initiatives that promote gender equality, women’s rights and social inclusion.
He added that her unwavering commitment to uplifting women across the state had enjoyed widespread admiration.
Abejide also praised the governor’s wife for her tireless efforts in advocating for the rights and welfare of women, including her “relentless pursuit of a more equitable and just society where women could freely pursue their dreams”.
He noted that her initiatives at uplifting the quality of life among the womenfolk had made her a shining example in Ekiti State and beyond.
Abejide, who also acknowledged the achievements, resilience and contributions of Ekiti women in the stability of the home and the economy of the state, congratulated Dr. Oyebanji for her invaluable contributions to the advancement of women in Ekiti State.
The chairman expressed support for all women’s development programmes championed by the governor’s wife and congratulated Ekiti women as they commemorate Ekiti Women’s Day.
Noting that all hands must be on deck in building a more inclusive and just society where the empowerment of women and eradication of all forms of discrimination against women would be entrenched, Abejide praised her efforts in the actualization of Gov Oyebanji’s shared prosperity agenda.

”Your passion for empowering women, most especially the recently launched Ekiti Adire Hub, as well as advocating for their well-being, is inspiring and has had positive impacts on many lives.”
The Commission boss urged the people of the state to continue to support the administration of Gov Oyebanji to enable him deliver on his mandate, and congratulated Dr Oyebanji on this year’s celebration, even as he enjoined her to continue to inspire others in the tasks of bringing about positive change in the lives of Ekiti women.
