The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate for Gboyin/Ayekire Constituency, in the 2027 election, Hon. Olalekan Ijidale, has celebrated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his re-election, describing the mandate as “well deserved” and a reward for performance.
In a statement made available to newsmen, Ijidale said the governor’s landslide victory across all wards and local governments was not accidental but a direct response from Ekiti people to his outstanding record in governance.
Ijidale who is the former Director General, Bureau of Local Content, noted that Oyebanji earned the people’s trust through visible impact in education, healthcare, and infrastructure within just three years and some months in office.
“Your victory is well deserved considering your outstanding achievements in the areas of education, health, infrastructure. Ekiti people have spoken with their votes – they want continuity of good governance,” Ijidale stated.
He added that the governor’s people-centered policies, from road rehabilitation to renovation of schools and PHCs, convinced voters to return him for a second term.
Ijidale urged Ekiti voters to replicate the same ‘massive support’ for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2027 general election, arguing that continuity at both state and federal levels was critical for sustained development.
“The importance of continuity cannot be overemphasized. Just as Ekiti has chosen continuity with Governor Oyebanji, we must also align with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in 2027 to keep Nigeria on the path of progress,” he said.
The Gboyin/Ayekire APC candidate commended voters for their peaceful conduct and promised that the Governor would consolidate on the gains of the first term and make life better for them.
