The Commissioner for Health and Human Services in Ekiti State, Dr. Oyebanji Filani has assured the leadership of Nigerian Medical Association, Ekiti State, to work out modalities to tackle challenges in health sector headlong by seeking the approval of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in ensuring solutions.
The Commissioner gave the assurance when the Association led members of the SOC and affiliate heads paid a courtesy visits to his office.
The commissioner appreciated the association for their support, adding that government of Oyebanji would try to abolish the pay disparity that is causing the problem of internal brain drain.
Earlier, the NMA Chairman Dr. Babatunde Rosiji has categorised the challenges health sector into primary, secondary and tertiary health care level challenges.
Dr Rosiji called for urgent action to tackle all challenges causing brain drain in health for the interest of Nigerians.
