….Says lawmaker facilitated 12 road projects, scholarships, free JAMB to thousand youths

A political group under the banner of Ekiti South Progressive Rebirth(ESPR), has commended the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Delegated Legislation, Hon. Femi Bamisile, for his quality representation as manifested in the plethora of projects he facilitated to Ekiti State.

Specifically, the group lauded the lawmaker for blazing the trail in several sectors, by facilitating interventions in the reconstruction of over 11 roads in his constituency, when he chaired the House’s Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).

The group gave the resounding commendation, in a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday, through its Coordinator, Com. Oloniniyi Omoyajowo.

In his rating of the lawmaker, a youth leader, said Bamisile’s constituents in Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, comprising Ekiti East/Gbonyin/Emure Local Governments, are proud of the uniqueness of the legislator’s resounding performances in the area of road construction, youth and student empowerments, education, job creation, Human Capital Development, among others.

The group expressed elation and pride over how Bamisile facilitated federal jobs for over 100 youths in his constituency, describing the gesture as not only enigmatic, but stunning in the history of Ekiti State.

Cataloguing some of the road projects, the group posited that they include: Construction of Iludofin township road, Construction of Edugbe, Ekurugbe/IJero township road, Construction of Isaya/Kota township road, Construction of Omuooke/Igashi/ Eriti road (Phase I ), and rehabilitation of Kota-Omuo/Ikole Road with solar street lights.

Omoyajowo also went further to mention the rehabilitation of Omuooke/Alu-Igbagun road , rehabilitation of Omuooke/Igasi road with solar street lights, construction of Ilisaoke/bolorunduro township road in Kota Ekiti, rehabilitation of Kota/Omuooke by- pass, rehabilitation of Emure/Eporo road in Emure, rehabilitation of Emure/Owo link road, intervention through FERMA in Erio/Aramoko road and rehabilitation of Aramoko /Itawure road.

To upscale rural water supply for healthy living, the group disclosed that the lawmaker had provided solar-powered borehole at Omuoke market, Akasa street, Omuooke Ekiti, Eyingbo street, Ilasa Ekiti, Bolorunduro Community, Kota-Ekiti, Araromi-Ugboeshi-Ekiti , Aisegba, Ibeji shittu in Emure Ekiti, and Ologooji farms settlement in Ijan.

In the area of Human Capital Development, the group stated that Bamisile had surpassed his peers through construction of ICT Building in Bolorunduro, Kota Ekiti, six blocks of classrooms at Community Grammar School, Kota Ekiti, School Hall at Community Grammar School, Kota Ekiti, and construction of two bedroom flat for a widow, Mrs Mulikat Aponmilewe

The group said: “He had also provided one block of three classrooms at Ilasa Ekiti, renovated and equipped Health Centre at Ibeji, Emure Ekiti, facilitated construction of Ologoji Health Centre at Ijan Ekiti, ICT Centre and at Ijaloke High School, Emure Ekiti, construction of one block of two classrooms at Emure Ekiti, construction of one block of two classrooms in Omuo Polytechnic and ongoing construction of one block of six classrooms at Ijan Ekiti.

“Construction of one block of two classrooms at Imesi-Ekiti in honour of late APC Chairman, Barr. Paul Omotoso, and proposed construction of one block of three classroom at Eda Ekiti, which will begin soon”.

For prolonged Life Expectancy for the people of his constituency, Omoyajowo revealed that Bamisile had funded free medical operations for hundreds of patients suffering diverse ailments like fibroid, eye impairments, Ear dysfunctional, and general treatments, while also donated medical equipment to Ekiti East NULGE Health Clinic with tricycles, ambulances and motorcycles.

He added further; “He facilitated distribution of 10 tricycle Ambulances to Ekiti East, Gbonyin and Emure Councils, distribute six motorcycles to Ekiti East, and Emure and provided Medical outreach for 1,800 youths, Women, Men and Aged people in Ekiti East, Gbonyin and Emure L.G while he sponsored NHIS registration for 100 people and free Medical care for 750 at Comprehensive Health Centre, Kota Ekiti”.

Omoyajowo said to ramp up nightlife in the towns within his jurisdiction and shore up business activities, Bamisile had provided 700 stands of solar lights across his Constituency, while 100 stands are being contemplated for location in Ado-Ekiti, 300 at his Constituency, and 32 across General Hospitals in the second phase, with 1500 stands being targeted for phase three.

He said Bamisile had boosted access to higher education through distribution of free JAMB Forms to over 2,000 students in his constituency, describing this as novel in the history of the state, while scholarship had been offered to hundreds of students at the secondary and tertiary levels.

Omoyajowo hailed Bamisile for deploying his connection for the facilitation of a staggering sum of N450 Million to empower vulnerable groups in Ekiti State, besides facilitating multi million COVID 19 loan to 120 beneficiaries, 100 for conditional cash grant, among other landmark steps to benefit the masses.

“Other areas where he had impressed us are: Distribution of free fuel to Okada riders in Ekiti State. Compensation of N500,000 paid on affected building in the cause of road construction to the family of High chief Adedoyin of Ilisa-Oke, Kota Ekiti. 150 beneficiaries empowered with different working tools. Empowerment of 100 widows with cash Distribution of mobile phones to all youth Leaders. Distribution of food items and cash for Xmas / New year on yearly basis.

“Training and empowerment of 100 beneficiaries, Youths, Women, Vulnerable and Artisans on how to make Hand sanitizers, Soap making, Air fresheners and empowerment of 300 youths, Women in Agriculture, especially in Poultry farming .

“Training and empowerment of Youths on how to repair and maintain street solar lights with 50k each ..Training of some elected youths on BIO Safety, distribution of two sewing machines to NSPT Tailor in Ekiti East and others too numerous to itemise here.

“We hereby pass a vote of confidence in his leadership and pledge unalloyed backing for him on behalf of all the youths in Ekiti South, particularly in the three Local Governments in his federal constituency”, Omoyajowo stated.
