YOU HAVE DONE WELL… EKITI RESIDENTS TELL GOVERNOR OYEBANJI

…as Media professionals, Government functionaries tour projects

The problems of good roads, electricity, access to quality healthcare, education and other necessary amenities in Ekiti State are gradually fading out, following huge investment of the present administration in those sectors.

This fact was derived during an inspection of various projects by stakeholders including media professionals, commissioners and other Government funstionaries.

A tour of the projects in Ikole, Ijelu, Ara, Isan, Omu, ijan and Ado Ekiti shows that a quite number of roads are under construction in various local governments while schools, hospitals and other socal facilities are undergoing renovation so as to serve the people better in line with the manifestoe of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

In an interview, some residents, including Mrs Bose Balogun, Mr Femi Oduayo and Segun Omotoso explained that most of the projects such as schools, hospital, electricity and roads would make life better for them and boost socio-econnomic activities.

They appreciated Governor Biodun Oyebanji for giving priority to needs and welfare of citizens, saying he really fulfiled his electioneering promises.

The residents who could not hide their feelings called on APC leadership not to allow any members of the party to contest primary election with the governor.

Addressing newsmen during the tour, the State Commissioner for Information, Chief Taiwo Olatubosun said present administration would not relent in giving priority to social amenities facilities such as roads, hospital, electricity, water pipe borne and Schools to make life meaning to people.

On his own, the commisioner for Education, Mrs Adebimpe Aderiye said over two thousand indigents students across the sixteen Local government have benefitted from the the state government conditional money tranfer to assist them in their education.

Some of the projects visited are ongoing Isinbode- Ara-Ikole,19.5 kilo-meter roads, Itapa, Ijelu and omu 9.8km road, Smart school at Ijan Ekiti, hospitals, renovation of secondary schools among others.
