We’ll Miss You, Anglican Community Pays Glowing Tributes to Retired Bishop During Thanksgiving Service

It was indeed a recognition of hard work, diligence, godliness, and service to humanity, as members of the Diocese of Ekiti Oke, Church of the Anglican Communion, converged at the Cathedral Church of St Andrew, Usi, Ekiti, to celebrate the retired Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Reverend Olatunde Olubowale, and his wife, Evangelist Mrs. Margret Olufunke.

The congregation, joined by families, friends, and well-wishers of the retirees, sang and danced to appreciate God for the successful journey of service to God and humanity.

Glowing tributes and encomiums were paid to the retired Bishop and his wife for leading by example and touching lives within the period of priesthood.

Some of those who spoke with newsmen confirmed that the retired Bishop would be greatly missed for his unique pattern of preaching and simple lifestyle.

In a sermon, the Dean, Cathedral Church of St Andrew, Usi, Ekiti, Very Reverend Samson Omitade, said the retired Bishop served the Church and God diligently and prayed to God to bless his future endeavors.

In an interview, the retired Bishop, Reverend Olatunde Olubowale, and his wife, Evangelist Mrs. Margret Olufunke, thanked God for the journey so far and promised to reach out to the congregation, whom he described as his second family.
