WE’LL BUILD ULTRAMODERN HALL IN NYSC EKITI STATE CAMP – SENATOR YEMI ADARAMODU

The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Youth and Community Engagement, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, has promised to build a state-of-the-art ultramodern hall for corps activities and convenience at the National Youth Service (NYSC) Ise-Orun/Emure Ekiti camp.

Senator Adaramodu, representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, made this known during his address at the Senate Committee’s visit to the NYSC Ekiti State Permanent Orientation Camp.

He announced immediate relocation of NYSC Ekiti State Secretariat, solar electrification project in the camp, personal donation of 250 seats and 250 mattresses for corps and staff welfare, public employment, and academic empowerments for notable corps members in camp.

Senator Adaramodu thanked Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for his timely response and immediate infrastructural aid, while promising that all capital needs of the scheme will be subsumed for appropriation upon senate resumption.

Sharing his experiences as a corps member, Senator Adaramodu reiterated that the NYSC remains a key driver for reliance, hence the need to take advantage of every opportunity it has to offer.

NYSC Ekiti State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Shuaibu, appreciated the Senator’s visit and presented a state-of-camp report, highlighting lingering limitations faced by the scheme in the state.

He appealed for speedy administrative and infrastructural interventions in key areas for the wholesome wellbeing of corps members and staff.

The visit was witnessed by the National Assembly delegation, including Senators Kenneth Emeka Eze and Wasiu Eshilokun, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon Adedayo Gold Adesola, camp officials, and political support groups.
