The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has said Nigerians have all it takes to build the new Nigeria.
The former Anambra Governor said this on his X handle @PeterObi while applauding the President of African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Prof Benedict Oramah, on his emergence as Forbes Africa’s 2023 Person of the Year.
Obi said, “To our dear nation, Nigeria. We have all it takes to build the New Nigeria, the New Africa.
Also, he said, “Prof Oramah has, no doubt, contributed immensely to the economic development of Africa. His award and recognition, stemming from his verifiable achievements over the years, do not only inspire but remind us of how progressive organizations or nations can be if they get the right set of competent, capable, and committed leaders. I congratulate Prof Oramah on this great and deserving achievement.
“The Afreximbank, under his leadership, has continued to witness tremendous growth and development and has continued to provide smart financial solutions, the latest being the launch of the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System, a historic project for cross-border payments in local African currencies, by the bank.
“I have no doubt in my mind that he will work even harder to make more laudable contributions to Africa and to our dear nation, Nigeria. We have all it takes to build the New Nigeria, the New Africa. With skilled leaders like Prof. Oramah, It is very possible.” He added.
