Vote Not Fight (VNF) Campaign: NIGAWD Gets Commitment of Candidates Ahead of Ekiti Guber

Ahead of the June 18, governorship election in Ekiti State, three major candidates in the race have made a commitment to embrace peace and play by the rules.

The New Generation Girls and Women Development Initiative (NIGAWD), on the Vote Not Fight (VNF) campaign.

The Vote Not Fight (VNF) Southwest campaign is being led by The Chief Executive Officer  of the New Generation Girls and Women Development Initiative (NIGAWD), NIGAWD, Mrs Abimbola Aladejare-Salako who is also the Convener of Ekiti Youth Agenda campaign

Speaking during the engagements with the candidates,  Mrs Aladejare-Salako said the VNF campaign promotes constructive youth participation in Nigeria’s political and electoral processes by promoting peaceful and constructive youth engagement with stakeholders before, during, and after elections.     

The Candidates who have endorsed the campaign and committed to the request  to implement Ekiti Youth Agenda Document being reviewed by Ekiti youth groups If they emerge as the next Governor of Ekiti state come June 18, 2022 are Hon. Bisi Kolawole: PDP Candidate , Hon. Biodun Oyebanji: APC Candidate, Engr. Segun Oni: SDP Candidate

Also, an advocacy visit was made to the office of the Governor and the Wife of the Governor, also to get His/Her Excellencies commitment to the Vote Not Fight Campaign.

Aladejare-Salako said the organization would continue to champion campaigns that would promote credible electoral system in the society.
