The Vice Chancellor of the Ekiti State University Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Professor Edward Olanipekun has expressed his readiness to upgrade the sport facilities of the university to enhance sporting activities.
The VC also announced plans to open up more space for the building of an ultra modern sport complex which would rank among the best in the country.
He spoke during a football match between the EKSU Mountainous and the FUOYE team in the ongoing Higher Institution Football League which was decided at the EKSU playing ground.
EKSU team defeated FUOYE by a lone goal.
Professor Olanipekun who was happy at the performances of the EKSU football team in recent outings said it was high time the necessary facilities were provided to encourage the students to do better and also give room for talent discoveries.
The VC affirmed that the importance of sports in the development of any society could not be over emphasized saying no investment in the sector is too much.
