Use Your Media Platforms to Promote Justice – Religious Leaders Tasks Ekiti Journalists

Religious leaders on Wednesday called on Journalists in Ekiti State to use their various media platforms to promote justice in the society.

They made the call at the annual Prayer meeting for 2025, organized by the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council.

Pastor Mike Abidakun of CAC Living Seed Assembly, Olujoda, Ado-Ekiti, who delivered his sermon titled: “Fulfilling the Divine Purpose” took his bible verse from Jeremiah 1:4-5.

He emphasized that being in the field as a Journalists and being alive is to fulfill God’s purpose while calling on them to use their platforms in promoting the truth and hope, impacting lives and justice.

He also admonished that the involvement of God in their ways is of great importance to secure their lives and discharge their duties appropriately.

On his part, Chief Imam Ansar-U-deen Society Alhaji AbdulMutelib, said it should be a constant habit to thank the Lord adding that the word of God is one.

He added that Journalists should create and promote love among themselves, by loving in the heart towards each other.

Highlights of the event include prayers and thanksgiving as members of the Union danced and prayed to God.
