Commercial Drivers in Ekiti State on Tuesday suspended their services.
The situation has left many persons stranded at various bus stops.
At first, it was believed that the situation was due to fuel scarcity until it was discovered that none of the commercial Drivers were working.
When contacted, some of the driver’s claimed that it was a directive from their leaders at the state level to suspend operation for the day.
According to them, the directive was to suspend operations and have a joint prayers to pray against accident.
Though non of the leaders of the drivers’ Union’s responded to calls, it was also alleged that their action was politically sponsored but Roundoffnews couldn’t confirm the claim.
