Following the announcement of assigning unique identification numbers to every house in Nigeria by the Ministry for Housing and Urban Development, the Media Aide to former President Mohammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has said it “is a transformative step towards modernising postal services across the country.”
Ahmad commended the initiative recently on his X handle @BashirAhmaad.
According to him, Honorable Minister Arc Ahmed Dangiwa, who announced the initiative, revealed that the Ministry will mark a unique identification number for every house in urban or rural areas.
He said, “The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development’s announcement of assigning unique identification numbers to every house in Nigeria is a transformative step towards modernising postal services across the country.”
Speaking on the benefits of the initiative, he said, “This ambitious initiative will definitely help to strengthen our security and revolutionise the way postal services operate and bring a host of benefits to both urban and rural communities across the country.”
